Very convenient to use!!!
Since all my balls are drilled for the I.T. (Interchangeable Thumb), having the Turbo 2-N-1 Grips is really-really nice. If your bowling balls are drilled like mine then this Turbo Grips are an indespensable tool that you need!!!

This should not mess up your tape. You may have to go slow and be careful but it should not mess up your tape.

Is this item have a soft rubberized tip to remove all types of inserts

This tool is specifically designed to work with Turbo Switch grips to lock or remove the inner sleeve easily from the ball. This is not designed to remove inserts that are glued into the ball.
