Columbia 300 Messenger PowerCOR Solid
Columbia300 has brought the Messenger back! This version of the Messenger ball introduces the PowerCOR weight block. This mid-performance bowling ball core is ultra-dense and provides a lower RG as well as hard-hitting power. The Reflex Solid coverstock found on this ball has a 3000 grit finish. The core and cover combo found on the Columbia300 Messenger PowerCOR Solid is a great match on medium to light oil and provides a strong midlane and backend reaction.

Solid
This ball kept me out of trouble at nationals. When they started getting toasty I was able to jump left and play in comfortably and control the reaction throughout the set. Highly recommended for when the lanes start to breakdown and you want to stay in the same part of the lane.

Columbia 300 – Messinger PowerCor Solid
The PowerCor is an enhanced version of a previously introduced technology. Initiated by Columbia 300 in the 1990’s, it functioned by inserting a ceramic core in balls such as the Messenger Titanium and the Cuda/C, thereby changing the balls performance in ball reaction and hitting power. In the past, this technology however limited how deep thumb and/or weight holes could be. The new PowerCor provides similar benefits of lowering the RG but also permits the use of interchangeable thumb and finger inserts.
I have found my Messenger PowerCor Solid to be most effective on sport or challenge patterns with a medium application of conditioner. The smoothness is remarkable and the versatility of being able to play either and outside or inside line is a big thing to consider. For me, a recommendation of a simple layout that gives you manageable motion where you as the operator have more control.

Messenger Solid - perfect benchmark ball for me. It's that medium strength ball that allows me to feel out the lane conditions. Smooth, controllable, great midlane traction. I call it the Power Torq solids little brother. Very similar in shape and motion, just weaker overall

Good Spare Ball
After being away from bowling for over 14 years and decided to get back into it. All my balls I had before and Messenger TI cracked over the years in storage. I decided to get this ball as a starter for getting back into the sport but went from a 16lb to 15lb (should have gotten a 14lb, old age). This ball hit hard after the 1st game when the oil dried down some and really kicks in on the 3rd game. My average 15 years ago was 210 but struggling now after being away for so long average now is 165 and climbing.

Columbia 300 Messenger Solid
The Columbia 300 Messenger Solid Powercor packs a lot of bang for your buck. Many times, this will be first ball out of the bag, especially on fresh and high friction conditions. This ball is very smooth and controllable which will keep you in play until the shot opens up. It reads the mids early but still has plenty of punch down lane too. My ball will see a lot of play on THS's. Great value.
